I find it very interesting that one of the threads I started recently was DELETED. I can NOT imagine why this would be because I did NOT start a thread that would demean or say anything deragatory. I can only imagine it was because a few members did not agree with me and took it upon themselves to delete it.

I'm not sure that disagreeing with somebody constitutes deleting their thread. Interesting, it was brought to my attention that this thread was deleted. Way to abuse your Moderator status. You do not like what somebody's opinion is so you delete it like it never existed. Way to let somebody exercise their First Amendment Rights. :D

Steelers, are you referring to the thread that Doug came back and posted on? The one that said something about there being less traffic since we eliminated guest postings? I thought it was deleted because of Doug's comments, not because of yours. I didn't delete it, but I was made aware that it was deleted because of his comments.

If I'm talking about the wrong thread, I'm sorry.

Steelers1, which thread are you talking about? Sometimes threads are shifted to other forums; are you sure it has been deleted?

If i's deleted, I would suggest you to have your own blog here and post the same thing in your blog. You enjoy 100% freedom of speech in blogs and that????????s why I love them :D

That's the thread I thought Steelers was referring to. I could be wrong though. I didn't delete it, but I was told it was being deleted because of Doug's comments. He intentionally placed that post in a forum where it couldn't be deleted by the member he was attacking. I didn't request the whole thread be deleted, but I did ask a moderator in that forum to delete his posts, in particular.

Hi Steelers

On 14th Jan, Doug Danger started a lot of insulting topics in the Pub. It was of no use keeping them because visitors will not get a very good impression about the members here. Hence, the topics started by him only were deleted. The posts inside it also got deleted. I don't think I deleted any of your topics.

Can you please post the name of the topic you started? I will have a look.

Regards
Mike

I can not remember the name of the thread I started, something about "what is going on", it was in the Pub Forum. I know there was somebody who made inappropriate post, I completely agree and understand deleting profanity and bad posts. But there was only one deragatory post by somebody in that thread and the entire thread was deleted.

I remember reading that topic. You were saying about the website traffic after guest posts were stopped.

A lot of responsibility rests on us and all the moderators of the individual forums. Guys, if one profane post is spoiling the whole topic, edit it and leave individual comments on that particular post. This way, we can get rid of that particular poster who was throwing trash without deleting posts of so many other members' with their views. It could have reached 15 pages or more in the future. It may also have been a thread to commemorate the past, about the website traffic and how it improved/decreased after stopping guest posts.

Anyways, let's not get stuck on something that has already happened. The water here is very friendly and it needs to keep flowing. My thoughts for all the present and future mods, we all are important connecting links of this group with individual share of responsibilities. We connect with new members and give them chance to be in our shoes. It happens when we stay connected with our fellow members. If this is something that happened for good, I thank steelers for creating the topic, then it got deleted and now showing what happened so that things can be understood in a better way.

Allright, everybody calm down. I'm the one who did it. I didn't want to nuke an entire thread, or put any hurt on Steelers. But you know who made a comeback and I couldn't take it anymore.

I've already sent an explanation with apology to Steelers1, the details behind it all are for her eyes only.

Thank you in advance for understanding, sorry for the toss-up.
