Hey guys - if you have a decent internet connection (not dial up), go to the Cedar Point website...they have POV (point of view) videos of all the big rides - the coasters mostly. The kids and I have been watching them over the past few days and have already picked out the ones we want to ride!

I may have to have someone else from the group ride with my older son on some of them - I don't do the "extreme thrill" coasters myself, and my younger son doesn't want to either! I think the fastest one we'll hit will be the Cedar Creek Mine Ride!

I remember when those pics of her exiting the car in a short dress, sans undies, were first circulating. The radio station I was listening to at the time had two men on it (and a woman to balance it out) and they were viewing the pics on the web as they were talking on the air. One of them said, "Oh look! You can see her C-Section scar!"

I about tossed my cookies right then and there.

Jessi -

What's the latest on the Cedar Point trip? Anything new?

Things are starting to look "up", looks like we'll be able to make it, as long as things keep rolling along. I've started investigating some weekend work that I can do on the side that will help my income. I'm already doing Mapquests for my trip to Cedar Point and then on to Boardman to drop my boys off to their dad for the summer. What a great way to send them off for the summer - a trip to Cedar Point! :-)

Ok everyone....

I'm going to be setting some things in motion this week, as far as the group lunch/ etc. I will be calling group sales this week. YAY! :)

Anyone who has not responded yet--Let me know if you're coming....And how many people. :) I need to get a good idea on what we're looking at. And also, if those who are coming can look at the list of food options at the top...We need to decide which plan. My thought would be the picnic type stuff, but that's just me. :)

Folks -

I've had some real issues come up just recently that have forced me to make some tough decisions. One of them is backing out of the CP trip. I really wanted to go, but it's simply not feasible at this time. By the time I pay for gas, lodging, food, etc. for this entire trip, it will be very expensive, now that gas is up so high.

I have decided to take my boys on a different excursion on our way down - maybe to Cabela's and the shopping outlet, rather than CP. I will save my pennies and try to make CP when they come back in August instead.

Sorry to have to back out, hope it doesn't affect the group rate too much. I've pm'd this info to Jessi as well.

Wish I could come. It would be great to meet the people I have been chatting with on here, but considering all the things we have had going on and just getting through graduation, gas prices, daughter starting marching band and no vacation time left, there would not be anyway that I could come. Do hope to meet some of you one day. Have fun

FYI:

To all that are still planning on going to CP. If you like roller coasters, you've got to get on their newest one The Maverick. It's awesome. We went this past weekend, and I think it's the best roller coaster I've ever been on. One bit of advise is that once they strap you in, hold onto the bars at approximately chest level. That will give you the best support from being jostled about too much. This coaster is a total thrill ride. I like it 10x's better than The Dragster. I still can't stomach the Millenium, but I don't much care for the first hill. After that the Millenium is pretty cool.

I hope you all have a great time. Not sure I can make it though. My summer is packed full of events. What's the date of the trip again? Who know's we may end up going anyway. We usually pick up season's passes so the trip is the only expense we have.

If you want a great deal for a meal, I highly recommend the Midway Market. This restaurant is located in front of The Raptor. It's a little pricey ($12.95) per adult, but you really can fill up. And the food is great. It beats trying to get filled on greasy fries and a hotdog. Not to mention that you can get milk, juice, pop and great desserts too. If you plan ahead, it's definetly worth it. Maybe a group discount can be worked out. A call may be worth it. We've found the best time is after the lunch rush and before the dinner crowd.
