Swipe your card for that amount that you can afford within this month. Don't go above your budget. You know you have to pay it when the due date arrives. What I do is when I use my card for a certain amount, I keep that portion of money away into a separate place and pay it on the due dates. Now you know why I used credit when I had the cash. I managed to raise my credit worthiness in the bank's system and I didn't mess up with my available finance. How's it?
