quick messages

Same thing happened to me!! Can guests do quick messages? I feel bad that I can't help this person, but there is no way to reach them!!

Guests are allowed to quick message you.Only way I know to narrow down where they are on the board is use search button.Do a advanced search based on username.We can add this to the to do list to work out for that feature.

I noticed I got a message in my e-mail saying I had a new "quick message", but when I went to the message, I had not one, but three! And the other two were older ones, which I never received any notification of in my e-mail. I hope it works soon...I would hate to miss someone's message if they need help or have a question.

I saw a button on my page that you could deselect to not allow guests to message you, if you prefer.

I've had the same thing happen, guests quick messaging and there's no way to respond to them. But then again, all they would need to do is register and we could all respond.

Fins-I have had several quick messages from guests, and there is no way to respond-that I can figure out!!..KAren

If guests ask for help in my homepage, I would copy the query and start a post in forum so that everybody can add comments there. Having such conversations in homepage won't help anybody. What do you say?

mishele, to get to your homepage just click on your name..Lol, you might have a zillion messages there for you! :D

Kyside, you can reply to the users who sent you the messages. Just click on their username and go to their homepage. You will find a quick message box to post.

Or, leave the messages just like that.

You have the option to delete the messages you don't like. There's a button to disallow any guest postings. By default, it is set to yes. Uncheck it and guests won't be able to post.

There is no point in keeping the garbage. I noticed that guests who come here to attack make one common message and post it in different home pages. I feel they count how many messages they can post in one minute LOL. Just delete that non-sense.

How come sometimes when I post I see the quick message and other times I don't?

Explain a little bit more.. Where are you having problems in seeing the quick message?

Sometimes I see the arrow with the Quick Message on it under my name and other times it isn't there. I have seen it under other's names, but it is just funny how sometimes I see it under mine and sometimes it isn't there.

This is what I noticed as a guest. I can see the quick message button in my id. But when I am logged in, I don't see the button, just because I can't send message to myself.

So, the button will be viewed in my ID when I am browsing the site as a guest.
