The number of members will keep increasing everyday. Let's have all the suggestions documented here to be applied in becoming a future moderator.

[list=1]
Minimum 1000 posts.
I suggest online voting like we do in the HOF

Fedup, I think the links are better than the cutting and pasting. I think if a link is important and pertains to the thread, then it should be posted, and would count as a helpful post. But in the past some people have abused this and posted all kinds of links all over the board, many of them repetitive. Definitely, links should be kept to a minimum! :D

I agree finsfan, there were a few who did nothing but cut and paste which makes the points add up fast. To me that is an abuse of the points system which I think is very generous of the site to offer its members. I hate it when I see it being abused. And I don't like it when somebody cuts and pastes without giving credit where it is due. I've seen that done before also.

Just wanted to add that the moderators who are already here are really gonna have to make up their mind. When I copy and paste info,I hear about it.When I put links up,I hear about it. So someone really needs to decide what you want. All of my links have been looked at by management or they are links to pages on our forum. :?

Once again for Cajun it's all about him/her, when I post a link, when I do this and that, good grief. I think points should be awarded outside the pub forum and maybe points can be awarded by vote but when you vote you have to put some kind of comment in about why you think points should be awarded for the points to be awarded to that individual

Cajun, when I griped about the links, I'm talking about a past member who seems to no longer be here. Mishele knows exactly who I am talking about. Please don't take the link talk personally. I do think links and cutting and pasting tends to be a bit excessive at times, it's just not necessary. I know that I have above average intelligence and only need to have something told to me, I don't need a chart and graphs to explain it. That's just my opinion.

Roadwarrior has a very good point about pms. A lot of people here do a lot of work behind the scenes helping out.

Fin,I try not to take it personal and I also do a lot of legal work behind the scenes even though pdl/poptart mom seemed to take offense when I pm someone. I know I can't please everyone. If I could I would already be rich. I don't know if you read the pub posts completely, but our buddy DD stuck his nose in here today. Mike knows about and is replugging his holes but wants all the mods to keep a close eye out for that one there! You have a good night.

Okay, let's not turn this into a little fight. Cajun, Fins and I weren't referring to you. We were referring to another member who is no longer here. I believe that you post valuable information. There are times that I do cut and past state laws where payday loans are concerned. I tend to do this for the new members on the board. I do a lot of work through pms too. That is because some people don't want to post that type of personal information on the board.

Is this a forum for high schoolers, I mean with comments like Quote:

I'm talking about a past member who seems to no longer be here. Mishele knows exactly who I am talking about
I feel like I am witness to a clique, please take it to PM world. Everyone needs to not take things so darn personal

Poptartmom,we both have issues. The main reason I have been upset with you was for questioning my job here. I have contacted All 3 admins that run this board and I have also publically apologized for any mistakes I made in doing my tasks here. When I get called out for pm a admin, it gets me upset and would probably get anyone upset. Any member can use pm to communicate private issues that do not need to be posted where anyone can read them. I do not delete anyone's post here except to remove persnal info or forum violations. The user that had his posts removed is Doug Danger who by the way was completely banned from this board for violating the rules in a major way. I informed Mike of him being here and after his response, started cleaning my boards and informing other mods of admin's decision to remove him again. You are welcome to confirm any of this with Mike,Jason,or Vikas. I would like to attempt to resolve this if that is humanly possible.I would have sent this in Pm,but thought everyone should read it.

I think Brownsugar and ks should be nominated too!! I've been gone for 3 days with a nasty stomach virus, and trying to read tese posts, I'm confused. Something was said about the mods that are already here need to make up their minds-what do I need to make my mind up about?! I'm still in a fog from the virus, but I couldn't understand if I am supposed to do somehing!!..KAren

Just my one cent "since I'm so far in debt I can't pay 2 cents....lol (Just a joke don't get mad) but anyways My son has a proboard site for his school and they have mods on there and they tried the voting new mods idea and it didn't work out that well. Mind you they are all teens and not ummm adults like us but there was still a lot of drama caused by it. A lot of the kids wanted their best friends placed as mods and when they where given mod rights they abused that right. They violated the rules of the board and let their other friends do the same. I guess my suggestion would be pick a mod that does the most to help others on the board. Pick people that you feel you can trust (be they popular with others or not).

Like I said just my one cent but there you have it. :D

"What are you going to wear, Muffy?" " I don't know, what are YOU wearing, Buffy?"" (Just had to throw that in..) I have been reading the prior posts proposing myself and Brownsugar as moderators, and definately agree that Brownsugar would be wonderful. As for myself, I am very flattered to even be considered by the forums. This is a difficult job and I appreciate the work that all of the moderators do on a volunteer basis. I know it's extensive and a large part is indeed behind the scenes.
Thanks again for the support!

i can't handle boxer briefs...Something about the tightness of them grosses me out...lol I love my Chris bunches, but if he walks out in tighty whities or anything clinging to his leg, I'm done for the night...lol Anyways..

I'm in a pickle myself...Do I order pizza? Or do I eat these last 2 boxes of girl scout cookies for dinner tonight??

Dude, what's up with your double posts? I even noticed a triple one in another thread. Jeez! I'm gonna start calling you thread hog!!

What I really want is Red Robin, but everyone else wants pizza, so I'm stuck. I made a wonderful cake to bring for Easter tomorrow, I can't wait. Plus my sister is making 7-layer-salad, and that is probably on my top 10 list of favorite foods.
