Cingular and T-Mobile users beware!

If you are a Cingular or T-Mobile user, your voicemail can be easily hacked. These two systems rely simply on a caller-ID login. Recently there's been a surge in the popularity of "spoof cards", used to spoof caller ID numbers. Someone could spoof your cell number, and if the Voicemail picks up, go though your messages, easy as that. Some might have heard the story of Paris Hilton doing this to an ex-boyfriend.

Maybe I should explain a bit better. A "spoof card" is like any prepaid long distance card and is usually bought online. The difference is, when you call the toll free number, you are prompted to "enter the number you wish to call" and then "enter the number you wish to appear on the caller ID".

me and my girlfriend have a family plan sometimes my voice mail goes to hers and heres go to mine has anybody ever had that problem with tmobile? i never had a spoof card done to me before what are the signs

One sign would be if you saw your own number on your cell phone

One sign would be if you saw your own number on your cell phone caller ID, in the "calls received"" or "missed calls".
