You both should stop posting and advertising for Debtpointer. I have reported this to the moderators of this board. Advertising is against the TOS rules here. All of your posts, since you just joined yesterday, have referred people to the same company. cut it out!

Mods-check their posts out.....

I checked out their so called Debt Pointer site and it's a complete SCAM along with many others. I believe it's HESS KENNEDY with new names. I guess this site got them good so they are trying to use this site to get customers for their new SCAM sites and at the same time discredit this site by referring people to obvious SCAM sites.

Their are others on this site as well with different names spreading the same propaganda.

Just wanted to respond to Tom's inaccurate posting about DebtPointer. DebtPointer has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with Hess Kennedy. No personal or business relationship whatsoever.

Testimonials:

"Thank you for doing such a wonderful job settling my credit card accounts. So, once and for all, I will finally be able to get on with my life debt free. And I can breathe easier knowing that my debt is paid off. Thank you so very much."

THIS testimonial appears on Debt Pointers site and Superior Debt Services site along with the name Robin S who states two different testimonials.....WHY????

???????Thank you for your help, support, time, and patience in helping me reach the important decision to begin a debt settlement program. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm looking forward to becoming debt free in a few short years!???????

THIS testimonial appears on Debt Pointer and Debt Regret....WHY???????

???????Thank you so very much for all of your help. My brother-in-law became disabled and I was at a loss regarding his credit card debt. The staff and associates of DebtPointer were kind and understanding and extremely professional in all of our dealings. I have felt like I was in very capable hands from the very beginning. I am so grateful that I found them online!???????

This testimonial is on Debt Pointer and Debt Specia lists.....WHY??????

???????Without your service and participation in helping me resolve my debts, I don????????t know what I would have done. I can????????t explain how thankful I am to have a friend that was willing to walk through this process with me. From keeping me on track to actually working with my leasing office and creditors you have gone above and beyond what I expected. ???????

THIS testimonial appears on Debt Pointer and Debt Regret....WHY???????

All of these testimonials are on these sites word for word but stated that they are from different people.

Are these people psychic? Is Robin S. using two different settlement companies?....LOL. C'mon this is so obvious.

Even Debt Pointer's ABOUT US info is copied word for word on another settlement site called Help One Credit. Just copy and google to see for yourself.

WHY?????????

Debt Pointer and Debt Special ist sites share the same exact debt settlement Process word for word.

EXPLAIN THESE FACTS akashkapoor?

Debt regret has 9 complaints with the BBB and is not rated. Why is that?

Under Texas law, all debt management companies are required to annually register with the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner if they provide these services within the State of Texas. The Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner can be contacted by phone at 800-538-1579 or online.

Debt Regret IS NOT registered or licensed to do business in Texas. Texas Division of Corporations does not have them on file. Do a reverse number look up. It does not even match the location they give you.

SOLID EVIDENCE.

Here's your answer for the duplicity of content on debt settlement websites. There are numerous marketing/sales companies and websites popping up every day, but only a few reputable debt servicing companies, if you want to call it that. The likes of DebtPointer do not service their own programs; they are just in it to make money from sign-ups and residual monthly payments they get sooner than later. If you see similar content, it could be outright copied w/ no relation or they are simply using the same backend company content.
The latter would just be sloppy marketing and goes to show the level of quality of the service...

Shortcut: if you want to settle your debt like these programs offer without paying them first, do it yourself. 1. Stop relying/using your Credit Card. 2. Stop making monthly payments that you will never payoff with minimum payments and SAVE UP to offer a settlement to the CC company directly at least 90 days later. They WILL accept settlement for less, often more than half.

I have just learned about backend companies in recent months. People should take the time to thoroughly READ the websites. Sometimes the sites state that they do not actually do the work. If a settlement company uses a marketing company I would suggest staying away completely. And what settlement companies NEVER tell you is that the savings they do for you is TAXABLE income. You are hemorrhaging money from every angle.

I have always stated that you are better off to do it yourself. But if you refuse to do that make sure you do some extensive research into the company you choose. And make sure they are within driving distance of you where you can walk into their office.

Make sure the company is reputable.

A good place to start is to check the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Next thing to consider is how long the company has been in business. A general rule of thumb is to look for a company to have been in business for OVER 10 YEARS. Thus ensuring that they know what they are doing and have settled many people????????s debts in the past. What the scam operations do is open up as ABC company put through hundreds of people on their program that they know are not qualified for debt settlement just to take fees. Once they have these people complaining about not doing the right job they close down and start up somewhere else brand new as XYZ company. So if the company is brand new within a year or two that may raise a red flag and should be a major concern.

When it comes to law firms you have an extra layer of protection, the bar association. Check the state bar for the attorneys standing if you are going with a law firm. The attorneys are held to a higher standard by being a member of the bar association. With unanswered complaints to the bar an attorney can lose his/her license and business. The attorney cannot get another law license and just open up somewhere else. So it is in their best interest to do the best job for the client.

Warning Sign:

This is pretty obvious, if a company has an UNSATISFACTORY record with the BBB and IS NOT a member it would be best to stay away. If a law firm is not in good standing with the bar in other words under investigation, then stay away. If the company is relatively NEW and is showing some of the warning signs mentioned above, definitely stay away.

While debt settlement can be a very smart and viable option for many you need to be very cautious about the organization you are employing. By following the points and warning signs above you will greatly reduce the risk of being enrolled into a program that will not benefit you.
