This is disturbing to me

Good post 8675309. I was helped out of my PDL hell by the people on this web site over a year and a half ago. I surely could NOT have done it without them. Occasionally, I come back just to browse and see whats up here, and I am saddened by what I see. I am grateful that the goings on that occur here now were not here when I desperately needed help. This was a life saver for me. I feel if I came here to this website now, I would not have had the same experience.

I am a long time lurker here as well and I read the so called disturbance from yesterday. Did you notice who STARTED this said disturbance? It was a MODERATOR. goudah2424, sassnlucy, and this other moderator were all helping someone out and this MODERATOR just started going off! There was no reason for this personal attack on goudah2424 or sassnlucy. I was actually being helped by the advice that was being given and I do not know why that moderator began attacking them. Neither one of them seemed interested in squabbling or confrontational but were just trying to help this new member and this is the thanks they get for it. I saw nowhere anyone being corrected like you are saying. All I saw was people trying to help others. As a longtime member of several other debt forums, I know that everyone has different experiences and everyone is entitled to share those experiences and their views/opinions without being verbally attacked. I have been watching this forum for a long time and it seems like these "older" members want to do everything they can to run off the newer people and cannot take anyone not bowing down to them. If these people have all the answers then maybe this forum should be changed and the only people to answer posts could be these older people, you can get rid of everyone else and then they can be happy because they wouldnt have any "competition" to worry about. And why does this have to be a competition? It seems like these older people have tried to turn this forum into a pissing match and what good is that doing? And guest, where was anyone in that thread told in a public way that they don't know what they are talking about? I didnt get that from the thread. These "gals" may have treated you with respect as a guest but it looks like they treat everyone else like $hit. And I would also question their sincerity, too. I think some people are only out to help themselves and do not really care about others. My opinion is this: stop trying to rule this board! Give other people a chance because there are many others here who know a great deal and are very kind and helpful like goudah2424, Leah, and sassnlucy, and they have something to offer as well. I think you are making an incorrect statement that people are trying to take over the board. The only people that are trying to take it over are these older people that think they own it. Old people-step back and take a look at yourselves. Are you setting a good example by the way you treat people? Do you act like this in real life? Because I have never seen a bunch of nastier people. Are we all working towards a common goal? Or are we just trying to post all over the boards so we can build up points? Do you think that people cant see what you are up to? If so, think again because if i can, i am sure that others can too. To the owners of this site: you are going to lose a lot more good people if you keep letting this kind of stuff go on.

I have to agree with the above post regarding the disturbance yesterday. Unless there were some comments made privately, I also never saw anything in the posts that should have warrented such a reaction from the moderator. Very sad. For everyone.

I have only been a member here for a short time and I have learned alot from these people they should be praised for all the help they provide to us that feel alone and desperate. I salute them :))))!!!!

To the guest I will answer your post. I have never treated anybody like crap on this forum. I try to give the best advice that I can. Advice that I ask questions about from legal advisors before I even post. I do not have a problem with new people. I do not have a problem with old people. I am not on here to rack up points. There are memebers who stay on here all day. This is something I do in my spare time. I dont care anymore who likes it or not. The old people here are not going to step back why should we? If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't know a damn thing and still be stupid and not standing up for myself! I thank God every single day for these girls! I swear to you, you have all saved my life! Okay, since I am the moderator in question I will post and I don't feel I need to hide. I have a good idea who hid behind the guest title to try and bash me. I was merely trying to help someone and some other MODERATOR, who knows who she is, had to one up me just to prove a point. Mishele I totally agree with you and if that irrates anybody I dont care. We know who the guest is just by one phrase that was said about a pissing contest. This phrase has been used against me before. I am not going to quit so if that is what the guest is after they can just give up. We have tried to help people and I have never mistreated anybody that came to me for help on this forum and neither has Mishele or Steelers. I didn't realize I would start such a controversy. KYSIDE, STEELERS, MISHELE, IRISH, I totally agree with your responses. I was surprised this was even approved. You guys keep on doing what you are doing because you have been a TREMENDOUS help to me and many others here. I just needed to say that.

First off - I wasn't the guest. Have Mike check the ip address. I don't need to hide behind a quest post like others. Nor do I need to make up fake accounts to "fool" people.

I am not "one upping" people. The girl asked a question and i happened to have an answer. I still don't see what the problem was. This site is here to help people. I do my research, and post my answers. If they happen to contradict someone elses answer, well the person can look into it themselves and see what is right. I'm not running around "correcting" people for the fun of it, nor am I doing it to try to make someone else look bad. I'm merely trying to help the person that asked the question. That state happened to be one that I'd researched. So I posted the info I had. What is the big deal? You guys are just causing drama for the fun of it. Nothing insulting or offending was said. We were just trying to help the poster.

Goudah...I hope you don't think anyone is trying to run you off. I don't know what happened, but you have a TON of knowledge and it would be a shame if you left. You and I have always understood each other. I know that you wouldn't post nasty under guest..If you had something to say you would say it as yourself.

For the guest. I challenge you to support your opinion. Find a thread that shows anyone of us NOT HELPING. I have spent 17 damn months on this board helping people and the others have done the same. Isn't it interesting that us bad guys are all "buddies"? Hmmmmm...Is this another conspiracy? :D You want us to take a step back and look at ourselves? Why don't you do the same! I received alot of good information from these ppl I don't reply to post much cause a few I did seems like I said or done something wrong when I did it seemed to me like I got attack for my answer when i tried to help ppl.I read alot of good post and them someone comes along and makes the answer very confusing by contradicting what the other has said.Tardy ho's keep up the good work

The first post on this thread was stating that we helped others, not attacked others. You have been nothing but a good influence on this board. Plus, you have a lot more patience than me. I find this ridiculous. I thought I joined this forum to get help with debt. I didn't know I joined a chat group that constantly bashes one another. I guess some people just need the drama in their lives. Maybe some of you could benefit from a psych evaluation and perhaps a presciption for Prozac. I've asked questions, and I wish more of you would have offered help. Instead I find what you are most interesed in is feeling sorry for yourselves for having your feelings hurt.
