I have an email address that I use for customers to reply to my exhibit spaces sales biz. Today I got one that said "Past Due!" as the subject. There was an attachment that had xxxxxxx as my name and account number and an amount owed as 373.17. With a note "will settle for that amount." Then following was a long letter about possible wage garnishment and judgment and all kinds of crap.
Then there was a URL to follow to make payment.
Do they actually get people to fall for that? It did not even have my name on it or a creditor! I forwarded it to spam@uce.gov What will they think of next? A fake collector! How low can you go?
