Some time ago, I tried out one of these "third party suppliers" to try and lower my gas bill. Little did I know this is nothing more than a double-dip scam. Would it be possible to start a discussion on these??

I think you already did! Looking for a job after this economy cost me mine, I found a half dozen jobs on Craigslist selling alternative electric and gas. All for commission only. Would you take a chance with a newborn utility? Especially after a storm when your power went out? They say it is still the major utilities problem because they own the poles. I am not so sure!

Their selling point is you get to keep your existing utility (in my case it is National Fuel), but get the fuel gas at a "discounted" price. Well, after a while, I found my gas bills went up! So after dropping the third party supplier, I found out that I was being double dipped. Both by the gas company and the discount supplier.
