I got a phone call this morning informing me that a very dear family member has passed away. This is my husbands second cousin, but with the age difference between us she was like a mother to me and a grandmother to my daughter (since my mom passed away in 2001) This lady had gone through so much but yet gave so much to others. Yes she was ill, but this took us all by suprise. My daughter is crushed once again, so the prayers needed are for her. My daughter would stay there on the weekends when we were up at the cabin and she had to work. She grew very close to this lady and so did I. I had to tell my daughter the news when I got home from work tonight. So she is crying in her room right now. She blames herself, she says that everybody that she cares the most for always dies. And no matter what I said made a difference. I know this is part of the greiving process, but it hurts me sooo much to see her like this. I know this family member is not suffering anymore but I am also saddened by her death. She told me tonight that she doesn't like this time of year anymore, because thats when the people she cares for dies. Since Dec. 2001 she lost her grandmother (my mom) her great grandmother (my grandma) her great grandfather (hubbys grandpa) and now this family member ( all inbetween Thanksgiving and Christmas). So please pray that she starts to understand that it is not her fault and that she will get through this with the understanding that it is Gods will and it was their time to join the lord and not just this time of year. Sorry for rambling on  I am just so upset. SO if you don't see me here for a couple of days you know where I am.
Thanks for being here for me

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm not a big fan of this time of year. My gramma died on Christmas Eve.

I also went through a time where I felt responsible for my loved ones dying. It's a terrible feeling. I lost 13 people in 1 year. I pretty much lived at the funeral home.

I will be thinking about you, and if you need anything, let me know.

A FAMILY MEMBER THAT ALWAYS GIVE LOVE TO US AND OTHERS IS SO ESPECIAL THAT YOU WILL NEVER FORGET THEM.
I ASK GOD TO VISIT YOU HOME AND GIVE YOUR DAUGHTER CONFORMITY WITH THIS BIG LOST OF A LADY SO IMPORTANT

AND I KNOW HOW IS HARD TO LOSE GREAT PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD.
IT IS LIKE A VERY LONG TRIP THEY WENT FAR FROM US.
WHEN I DID NOT SEE MY FATHER ANYMORE AND OTHER PEOPLE THAT I LOVE SO MUCH AND I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE NOT HERE NO MORE AND I CANNOT BRING THEM TO THIS EARTH EITHER.
I REMEMBERED MY FATHER WHEN HE WAS DYING AND HE IS TELLING US HIS FATHER,MOTHER AND SISTER WAS NEAR HERE HIM TO BED.
MY FATHER NEVER SAW NOTHING IN HIS LIFE AND HE DID NOT BELIEVE HE CAN SEE ANYTHING IN HIS LIFE.
PEOPLE SAID HE WAS NOT WELL AND HE WAS IMAGINING THINGS AND ME,MY MOTHER BELIEVED THAT THEY CAME
TO HELP HIM TO UNDERSTAND DEATH.
GOD IS A GOD OF LOVE AND I BELIEVE ONE DAY I WILL
SEE MY FATHER AND ALL PEOPLE I LOVE SO MUCH AGAIN.

ABOUT THE THIEF THAT DIES NEAR THE CROSS OF JESUS
AND HE TOLD JESUS HE FELT VERY BAD TO STEAL MONEY FROM PEOPLE.
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THIS DAY BUT I KNOW GOD FORGIVE THE THIEF BECAUSE HE SAW ANYTHING GOOD ON HIM.
ONLY GOD CAN SEE INSIDE US AND ONLY GOD KNOWS ALL OUR SECRETS.

i am so sorry for your loss. allow yourself and your daughter to grieve and assure her that this is not her fault. this december, my little nephew would have been 5. he died in an drowning accident around a year and half ago. his father blamed my nephew's mother for a long time because she let someone else babysit him while she worked. but in time he realized that it was just the baby's time to go. he is really missed, but even though he was just 3, he brought so much joy in our lives. instead of crying when we talk about him, we laugh. it took time. i remember the day of his funeral, as we were enter the church, it was cloudy and very gloomy. but as we were marching out, the sun came out so bright, we had to put shades on  as we were leaving the burial, it started raining so hard and my daughter said, oh my god momma, he has gotten up in heaven and turned the water on!!

Puddle, My hearts aches for both you and your daughter. To loose a loved one is difficult enough but to loose so many at the same time of year in the holidays when so much celebrating is going on is imensely difficult and only magnifies the loss. I konw as a mom you want so much to make this better for her and take away the pain...but you know in your heart she will heal in time and as many of us have had to do, work our way through the grieving process. I know it is doubly difficult for you becuase you in pain for your loss as well has hers. I will add you and your family to our prayer list at church and say and extra prayer for you. God bless.

Thank you, each and every one of you!!!! I think I am starting to run on empty today. But I did have some good news today :) I had to bring in my oldest cat to the vet today because he had a lump on his head. I was thinking the worst I guess, so I had been worried about this all week. Well I just got home and yes he is with me :) I thought it might have been cancer, but it was only a cyst(sp??) so they only had to drain it :) Then I had a doc. appt. myself to recheck my wrist, which I had hurt about a month ago at work. And now thats fine also. No more light duty :D So your prayers are working :) thank you!!!

Thank you all :rose: The services were Sat. My daughter was doing ok until she saw the kids of this family member. Then she lost it. And to my amazement everybody was worried about my daughter because they heard she took the death so hard. So with the support of this family (her husband, son and daughter) my daughter is still sad but is more understanding and no longer blames herself. So things are getting better. The funny things is we were supposed to have a pretty big snowstorm the day of the services, and the snow held off till the end. When the services were done we walked outside and it started snowing very lightly, it was so pretty and also a calming snow. It made us all feel at peace.
So I thank you all for your kind words and prayers
