Filing online dispute quicker?

All of the ones I've sent online they have sent me a letter in the mail, and an e-mail to show me the results.

I don't know that it's quicker either way. At least on paper you can track when you sent it easier.

Thanks so much Jessi. So, if I do these things online (I do almost EVERYthing online... including grad school)... is there something I can print out once I have all the info typed in on the dispute form?

It's been a while since I did it online, but I am 90% sure that they gave me a confirmation number.

You're correct Jessi, its not any faster. Just doing it online, they send you an email when they're finished and it still takes about the same amount of time. also on line, I can't remember which one, but one of the bureaus is very limited on what you can say and dispute. I found it easier to do it in writing that way everything got said that needed to say. They only allow you so many words on line. Hope this helps.

Also, when I first started disputing with the bureaus, I sent my letters certified return receipt. but after the first time or two, I stopped. In my case, they have still responded me every time whether I sent it certified or not. I guess its up to you how you want to do it.

Yeah, I think the comments is like 500 characters, and I am very long winded...lol So trying to find little baby words to describe my problem was a challenge. :)

I've also got better results from writing letters than from online disputes, but that could be a coincidence too. :)

Thank you ladies. I think I will type up my letters and send them regular mail (avoiding the extra costs)... but I'm wondering if maybe the first time they should be sent certified return receipt. Hmmmm... I'll worry about that part while I'm in line at the Post office : )

Keep a record of when you send them. Worst case, in 45 days you can send another one, right? :)
