Anyone dealing with quickpayday?
You can't contact them..Their web page says they are not accepting new customers, and the phone rings and rings. I am paying them off right now and would really like to talk to a person before making any more payments.. Anyone know anything?

They have been suid in several state. In Colorodo they had to pay back 2 mil for overcharging and were suid in NY for abusive collection practices.

Interesting, I checked their website and it is referring me to a company called cash central. I checked my state licensing database and lo and behold cash central is actually licensed in washington, and get this their address is next door to the old wuick payday address... So here is my guess... with all the recent problems I think Quickpayday has formed a new company (cash central) and at least in states requiring licensure, is making an attempt to comply with the law... It makes sense for them to change the name as a marketing ploy...

I am going with Hess Kennedy for my consolidation debt - several credit cards, personal loans, student loans you and payday loans. They told me they do payday loans - and I have several one is Quickpayday and Cash Today LTD. My couselor told me to stop payments on my bank account (the payday loans) and to ignore them. Is Hess very good with payday loans = has anyone dealt with Hess with payday loans. My payments are due this Friday - and I am scared of what will happen. The lawyers told me they had sent out the letters....someone please answer thanks.

Mishele, did you have to ask them to forgive the loan or did they just contact you? I defaulted on a loan with them in December and I haven't heard anything from them

My last payment to Quickpayday will be sent this month,I only owe them $20.They took off all interest and fees when I first joined the consolidation program. They have given me no problems and have emailed me after each payment with new balance. Here is the last email that I received on 2/27,If anyone needs to contact them.

before they closed down, quikpayday decided to take the full amount from my account instead of just taking the extension fee alone. I didnt receive any NSF fees but it did cause me to be late on other payments. I just wanted to let everyone know that they might try and debit the full amount if you still have a loan with them.

twokidtwocat,

Can you please give me the address that you used to send payments to QuickPayday? I want to make sure I gave CCCS the correct address.

If I gave CCCS the correct address, this means QuickPayday is out of business. There was no written contract anyway and it was all done on their website. This is possibly one the reasons why they went under.

Well, I don't know what to do here. My payday loans weren't huge and I have been able to work out acceptable arrangements with the companies themselves, except Quickpayday. Like I said, you can't call them, and I get no replies to emails. I had sent them a registered letter and a payment 2 weeks ago, and got no response to that. The week before that, however, I got a letter from them threatening me with a judicial suit if I did not pay them in full immediately. I can't pay them if I can't find them!

If the moneytree you dealt with is the one with the caterpillar commercials, then you are fairly safe, theeir contract (at least their contract as of a couple of years ago stated that they will not pursue legal action if you cannot pay them back (although they could toast your credit... If you have not already called them, do so and tell them your situation, explain to them what you intend to do and assure them you intend to pay them back. I would follow up the call with a letter outlining what you discussed.
