before i see a change on my fico score? It was one of two collection items that sent my score south. How much will my score change after that deletion?

Collection entries hurt the scores severely. Since you have been able to get them deleted from your file, you will see good increase in the scores. The credit bureau will update your report and send you the copy within 30 days.
