Hi milliesoto
Welcome to the forums.
Contact the credit bureau in writing disputing the item that you believe is inaccurate in the credit report. Write your name and address, and clearly highlight the item that is being disputed. Give your explanation and request them to remove it from your file.
The credit bureau will conduct an investigation with the information providers and will remove the information if your dispute is accurate. They will send you a free copy of your credit report.
The information once removed should be reinserted back in your credit file. If it is done, they need to notify you in writing 5 business days before it is done. You will get this Consumer protection afforded by the FCRA under FCRA Part (A)(5)(B)(ii)
You need to dispute the item in writing before you intend to take any legal actions against the bureaus.

deletetion reinserted by The Bureaus INC (Collection Agency)
I got a collection reported by the Bureaus Inc once deleted in 2002 and now it has been reinserted in my credit report by experin they said even though I gave them the information a copy and report number of the deletion report they do not archive their reports they no longer have that information.
They did reinvestigate and said it shall remain, in addition they changed dates and amounts with a new original creditor or change of name creditor, but with same account number. I also advise Experian by certified mail that under the FCRA that they should have notified me within the 5 days time. The report is still inaccurate. They said, "Take it up with the Bureaus" They said they are finished with that item and it shall remains. They even reaged it. It was to be removed 2/2006 but now they are reporting last activity 2/2004. What do I do Now?

Richard
You need to hire a lawyer who specializes in the lawsuits of fdcpa and FCRA violations.
Every possible violation of the federal law is evident in your post. If the bureau has re-investigated it, they need to provide you with the proof of the investigation done. You will compare and confirm. But sadly, nothing was given to you.
Re-aging the accounts keeps negative information in the file for longer period. This is a violation of the Consumer protection afforded by the FCRA Section 605 and you can sue them on each charge filed.
