Well United Legal called me requesting payment for No Fax Payday Loan requesting I pay the $300. Well I faxed them a validation of debt letter aand this is the response I received back. Why is she asking me for a copy of my contract? If they are collecting a debt for a company, they should have that information. I am going to e-mail her back and tell her she needs to get that from the company that she is working for. Here is the e-mail she sent me.

Ms. Tate, I am requesting a copy of the contract you have with our client.

Once we have received it I will mail it to you in the mail.

You are correct with your approach. You don't have to send any copy of your contract that was made with your original creditors.

The debt collectors receive every important document from your creditors and after that only, they are required to seek collection efforts.

Please send your letter through certified mail. Wishing that your debt gets validated in accurate shape.

No doubt about it. Do not send any personal information to them before your debt is validated. If they receive anything even though they don't have your account, they will recover some concrete evidence to harass you later. So, you need to take every step very carefully.

Also, keep the CMRRR serial number in safe place as it is an important proof of your efforts made.

Have you pulled your latest credit report to check this account? Do let us know how things shape up.

Hi Htgt123

CMRRR serial number is the Certified Mail Return Receipt Request that you have attached with the letter. It will ensure confirmed delivery of your mail and you will be able to know the date when delivered.

This receipt can be produced for legal use showing that you have sent your request to the other party on the first hand.
