I don't know if everyone knows that there is a wonderful feature on this site....a chat room! If you look to either the right or the left, whichever way you have your page set up, there is a thing that says Instant Messenger. From there, you can enter your user name and instantly chat away! It is much easier to use than pm and we can all chat in real time. Check it out, it's fun!! :)


I will request everyone to see the chat room and talk to your friends. We have kept it like Yahoo Messenger. You can talk either in groups or select a private chat room for individual users.

If you see someone online and you wish to talk to, send a quick message to him/her and log in to chat. You will see the difference.

I was first with Sass and then later joined by Roadwarrior, Anthony and 2ndband for a while. It was nice talking to all of you at the same time. :) We enjoyed, just thought if you also can have a look.

Is this the same chat that has been there all along? we used to use it, but it sorta fizzled out. If you notice there is a sticky post we used to let others know if we were in there looking for someone to chat with.

The problem before was that it was kinda hit and miss. but if people know there will be someone there at a more or less regular time, it will surely gain in popularity.

It was nice talking to you in the chat room. Hope you liked the new features this time. We have done a lot of changes from the earlier version and made it user friendly. If anyone has any suggestions on improving the section, please let us know.

I think the chat room is diverting from it's purpose. At least this is what I witnessed yesterday when I went into there. It's seems that it's turning into a gossip den for a few little chickies. It's meant to help people. Yes, we can have a good time but not at the expense of others. We had a lot of fun in chat last summer when we would just talk about this or that. So if you little chickies have a problem with me, then bring it up with me. There is no reason to talk about me in the chat room or run to Mike about it. Simply send me a pm and we can handle it that way. Let's keep the chat room open for it's purpose.

Thanks for your post, Cajun. Yesterday, I allowed myself to get caught up in the drama. So, I apologize for my part in that. But I will not sit back and see valued members of this forum being torn apart over something so stupid. We are adults, we can talk to each other. It just doesn't need to be all over the forums anymore. I believe it can be done in private.

Drama. Let me see. Drama is: your child coming home one day and is suddenly proufoundly/permenantly deaf, no longer a part of the hearing world and having seizures. Drama is your other child having seizures day and night, living in a world of his own. Drama is having both of your children diagnosed with a rare genetic disease for which there is no cure, just treatment of symptoms. Drama is discovering you have a cancerous lump in your ****. Drama is the doctor telling you that you have cancer (YET AGAIN, this is the 3rd time!) Drama is also when you have no life and chose to make it. That is the worst drama of all. If I so chose to have fun and a sense of humor over a protitute thread, I shall do just that. I do not need to be babysat. I live a full and productive life, and if you have nothing better to do than to gossip about me, grow up, get a life outside the forum. I surely and most others do as well. And I don't need you running interference for me Cajun, I have and will always continue to speak what I feel. I have plenty of drama in my life which was not chosen, I chose not to listen to those with no life who want to gossip. Get a life once again. And I will continue to come to this forum, and I will continue to be a moderator, whether or not you like my style is your own personal choice.

For all moderators,members,& guests.I am a moderator by definition of the title.I don't run interference as it has been said or choose where to post.I have been instructed by Admin to make them aware of any potential personality clashes/attacks. I normally do this by pm so the board can not be aware of the situation.

I agree with your post one hundered percent. It actually brought tears to my eyes. I agree that it's okay to have fun and let loose. I thought the
**** thread was hysterical myself. I needed a good laugh on a rotten day. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I know what it's like to hear you have cancer. It's one of the most scarey things I've ever heard but I keep trying to stay positive about it. I'm not going anywhere either. I've fought too hard to be here. I've earned my title as a moderator. As far as the the spam topic, I think we all do our part to pitch in when we can.

And you are right, we've earned our title as moderators. And we AIN'T GOIN NOWHERE. And I LOVED that thread about the ****, it was HYSTERICAL! And yes, I do have a sense of humor, I loved it. And I will continue to respond to those who I find humor in.

I agree that the spam isn't as bad as it used to me. We can't please everyone, that is for sure. I need to laugh right now. I like to laugh. If they don't like dirty jokes, then don't come to my house. My mom, sister, her husband and kids are on vacation in Tennessee this week. I spoke to her earlier and they were on their way to Dollywood. She asked if I wanted anything and I said ****. Not thinking of the cancer but about Dolly. We had a good chuckle over it. :lol:
