I got an alert today..

My score was 509...

It is now... 539! YIPPEE!

Gotta keep plugging along though!

I just signed up for the truecredit three in one monitoring service that Mary uses--So far I like it..I've been mainly concentrating on Equifax, but have been neglecting Transunion and Experian. Those are still 501 and 503. Gotta get those up there!

:)

Congrats, Jessi! Your scores are going up because of the hard work you have put into it. Though, most of the future lenders will put a keen interest on your Equifax report, but you should try to improve the other two reports as well. I believe the bureaus share information with each other. So, don't let one bureau hurt your file other one has.

I put in a whole bunch of disputes with Trans. and Experian today, so we'll see what happens in the next 30 days with them.

This has been such a relief to start getting things in order. It's so shocking how much trouble you can make for yourself in such a short time. It's definately easier to get in trouble than it is to fix it.

Hey,I have a question,I'm brain dead right now,and I know I've seen the answer, but don't know where. My question,If the collector doesn't validate(my LVNV-Phillips-Cowen) mess, and I have sent one more letter asking again to validate because it has been over 30 days. You can't dispute with the credit bureaus if they bought the account with Sears can you?Since I owed the money to Sears and they bought it,won't they (credit agency) also ask Sears about validation? Well,on top of not making complete sentences and poor punctuation,I've confused even myself!! ...Karen

You still need to check on your credit regularly, dicky...

When I first started my clean-up efforts I had duplicate accounts, addresses that were not mine, and even had an account for "Nebraska Furniture Mart." Problem with this is...I live in Ohio...And I've never bought furniture....

You have to keep an eye on things for identity theft, and incorrect information. These things can hurt you badly.
