Another pay day another payment taken... geez will it ever stop. I want to call them to find out what information they have on me, such as work phone or whatever but I don't want them to have my number at all. I keep replying to their reminder emails and all they do is call me back and tell me that I still owe $235.00 on a $200.00 loan in which I have already paid over $1000.00 on... How does this make sense? I am going to find someway to stop them from taking my money. I wish there was a way to get their address in India or wherever they are, not that fake address in Nevada. I tried calling back the number that shows up on my caller ID but it won't let me call it. To anyone out there who wants information on GFS/GFSIL - Don't take money from them... They are theives.

Noel, to stop this you should close and open a new account. If not, putting a block on them won't stop them. They will only attempt to take the money under one of their many other names. You really need to file a complaint against this company with your state's Attorney General's office, that seems to help get them off people's backs.

GFS sent me a return payment letter today! My phone hasn't rang yet, so thats a good thing. These people are so totally clueless. I'm hoping that they'll just drop off the face of the planet, like they did with Leah!

I have yet to hear from Discount Advances or Cash Today LTD -- CashNet500 and Sonic Cash, I still owe them a wee bit and they made arrangements with me for MORE than what I should owe legally, but as soon as I make the legal payments, that's it with them.
TenDollarPaydayLoan offered me a $200 settlement. I think I only owe them about 150 legally. I may take it, and just pay them $150 and demand a PIF.
BUT
Three companies have marked me PIF since joining here!! GECC, The Loan Shop, and PayDaySelect.
Friday is payday, and all my money wil be there. Of course, I gotta pay the rent and car insurance!

GFSIL
I previously received a $200 loan with GFSIL, after extending it so often meaning twice a month for 2 months, I went to pay the bill off as they were calling constantly. The amount due was over $500 but as I called left messages and faxed a guy called me and said that I could settle for $100.00.
Ok how much did your $200 loan end up costing you? Just curious.

OK. I keep getting calls from this phone number 1-877-280-2343 and I have asked numerous times to be removed from their calling lists. They claim I applied for a payday loan advance (which I did not). Today, after receiving three calls from them, I called back and asked for a manager, the woman hung up on me. I called back, advised I wanted a manager because the last woman hung up on me, she said "like this?" and then hung up. These people are harassing me, and I don't even have an account with them!!!! Does anyone have any information on them...I can't seem to find anything on the internet.

GFSIL...they are one of the biggest scams in the world. File a complaint with the AG in your state...that was the only way I got them to leave me the heck alone! Also file a complaint with the FTC...if you do not have an account with them then they making unwanted solicitation....Here is their US address(dont know what good it will do you) 1005 Terminal way Suite 110 Reno NV 89502

I have had the same problems with them. I got a loan but someone gained access to my account and I closed it. I told them but they kept charging my account making my amount with them go higher because of returned payment. They started calling me everyday at work yelling at me telling me I need to pay then hang up in my face.
GFS Nevada
These people suck. But since filing a complaint with the BBB of Nevada. I found out the following:

That is great news. They still call me all day every day. Luckily I have caller ID on all my phones. So I don't answer. I just hope they get harrassed enough by all the various govt agencies that someday they disappear.
I got screwed too.....
I too have a loan with GFSIL, but the thing with me is that they have been taking out two payments from not only GFSIL but also GFS which I didn't know that it was the same place. I also called and got hung up on numerous times and the thing with me is I have a bad temper, so you should know how that went now they are trying to take money from my account and I tried to close it but my bank won't let me so when a payment comes through my bank rejects it and I feel the same way I thought that those fees went towards that loan, but they don't. I'm going to talk to my bank again and close the account and they have no choice but to send it too collections, but by then at least I will have some type of documentation

GFSIL and GFS are the same company...they have numerous other DBA's as well....
Good news
So I haven't gotten a call or payments taken out of my account in almost two months... I am super excited to be done with them.
But the better news is I received a letter from the Dept. of Business and Industry Nevada Consumer Affairs Division that states that GFS has fined for unlicensed lending in the United States! And they have sent my information to the FTC to be reviewed. So for anyone who still has a loan with this company, contact the BBB, the FTC, your attorney general... The letter states that they have received numerous complaints regarding GFS. So file a complaint because this is proof that it is being heard and taken seriously!
Oh yeah... GFS also does business as Cash Today, Cash Today Commercial, Cash Today Factoring, Global Cash Advances... so if you get calls from any of these companies, do not do business with them.

That is great news!! But something I want to know is, if the FTC gets involved and bans these places from the US (and I say high time, lol...) why is it that different states can have different laws re PDL's?? I mean, another offshore, Sonic, is banned in California but not in other states. Why can't the FTC just ban all offshores?

I am also trying to get rid of my pdls and other past due bills (because of the pdls) through a dmp. GFSIL is one of 2 that refused to go along with my program...they are insisting I pay them by Quick Collect over the next 5 pay periods....my old checking account is a mess of overdrafts...over $1000. because of the auto ach debits...who do I contact to get GFSIL out of my life without costing me another fortune?? And help will be appreciated!!

hey k prince, first off sorry you are going throught this as well but here goes, come to find out gfs is also known as gfsil, interim cash, cash limited today, and rovinge they have been duble debiting my account under 2 names gfs and rovinge I have put a unauthorized debit on my account, to stop any future payments and I only had one deposit mot 2 they are just debiting under different names. the number for gfs is 8772803359 when it comes out as a debit for rovinge there is not contact information even my bank tried to track it down and couldn't so inform your bank of this companys other known names and monitor it closely some have had to close there account all together I have just caught on to what was happening so I am not that far yet I am just going to see if the bank can handle it from their end seeing that this is illegal. good luck, i think we have all been taken for a ride.
GSF Called!
Since I filed a claim with the BBB of Nevada back in Apr/May these freaks have been calling me to find out how to settle this harrasment claim, and bad collecting practices claim that I filed. Before I did that you could not get a answer from anyone there. So obiviously something is working right...and I hope they shut them down. I let them sweat it out for a while as they were being so polite.......please call us type of thing. So FINALLY they are clearing my account to ZERO. I never want to hear from these scabs again. So DO NOT give up folks!!!!
So did you ever call them back Trixie to find out what they want

Most of these payday loan companies is the same company. They just masquerade under different names to lure people in. I have been dealing with them long enough now to know the frauds from the legit ones. Most of the time, there websites looke the same. The names are just different. I currently have a loan with GFSIL. They are crooks. I had to close my account to prevent NSF fees. I'm waiting for them to start calling me with threatending collection tactics. And yes, they and ICS are the same company with the same employees. The numbers are even similar besides a few digits.

last oct i took a loan out with gfsil...i moved 3 times and have lost their info. GGSIL
text Let me get this straight! When you take out a loan for $200, you have to paid $280. Now if you opt out to pay the processing fee which is $80, which still leave you with a balance of $200 plus, $80 when time to the pay the loan off the next payday loan. Right? now from what I understand they take more? Let me know
GFSIL/GFS/Cash Today ~ Rip Offs?
I have never had a loan or cash advance from any of these places, but all 3 are deducting payments from my account.
My bank told me that all 3 have the same banking id information. When I called the numbers the bank gave me for them, they claim they deposited money in my account, but could not give me the date funds were deposited to my account.
Be careful dealing with these places.
I know this doesn't much go along with what everyone here is say
I know this doesn't much go along with what everyone here is saying, but we have had 3 pay day loans with gfsil in the past and have had very good luck with them. Yes I know they have a VERY high interest rate, but I knew that when I applied. The money was deposited into my bank acct the very next day. The money to pay back the loan was only taken out on the day it was supposed to every time. When I did not have the money in my account, I just called them and told them and they were very easy to work with. Hard to understand being from the UK, but enough to get my point across. When I called 3 days in advance to pay off the loan in full, it was paid in full on the date I had specified. I have had a few pay day loans and I have gone back to gfsil because with each new loan, the fees are less and less. I am located in MN, maybe it depends on your state's laws as to how they operate...not saying it's right.
Thank you for your comments. Every one has different experiences

Debt info
This article was on CNN today:
There is a limit to how long collectors can legally collect your debt. Generally this limit - called the statue of limitations - can range from three to 15 years according Ridout. Check with your state's attorney general's office to find out the limit in your state.
Sometimes debt collectors will try to collect on this old debt called zombie debt because it never goes away. Make sure you don't accept a new credit offer from a creditor you never repaid. Once that creditor renews your credit relationship, the clock starts ticking all over again on your state's statute of limitations.
If you think you've been treated unfairly by a debt collector, take action. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at 877-FTC-HELP.Or contact state attorney general's office.
You also have the right to sue a debt collector in state or federal court within a year of the date the law is violated. A victory will allow you to recover money for the damages you suffered plus an additional amount up to $1,000. A group may also sue a collector and for damages up to $500,000, or one percent of the collector's net worth, whichever is less.

Ok, does anyone know where this company is actually based out of? They continually state that they are out of London, but I'm not believing that. On top of that, they continually call my place of business asking for my supervisor. I told them that they were never gonna speak with my supervisor for any reason as she was not gonna pay the loan off. Also, the same thing, 200.00 loan and for the last 4 weeks taking out 75.00 from my acct. Now, as far as I can add, that's not only more than the loan amount, but should seriously suffice for any charges incurred for processing the loan. Also, the person that continually calls, says that his name is John Marcus, not in this lifetime. The other thing is that I had a friend answer this morning, and he asked me if I was her and I didn't say anything, and he said "ok, so you are (my friend's name)" I just said, "ok". As he went on and told me over and over that this conversation was being recorded and that he would just send it to his legal department, I told him to go ahead. He was shocked, and I told him that I may or may not be her, and that he never took the time to verify any of my personal information, and that he had violated nearly every one of my privacy rights. Furthermore, I was formerly asking him time and again not to call my place of business and that if it continued, I would press harassment charges. He said "go ahead....". So I kept him on the phone arguing about the fact that it was an unsecured loan, and there was nothing he could do about it, etc. Then told him that if he was calling from London, his company was going to be extremely mad with him for spending so much time on a call that will get them a harassment suit. Not to mention the fact that the call he was making probably just cost him more than the loan itself. He told me that I was impersonating someone else, blah, blah, blah, and I told him that he didn't know me from Adam, and that he still hadn't verified any of my personal info. I finally got off the phone, and he called my cell. I need to know if they are based out of the U.S. anywhere. I need to send them a certified letter from my attorney. Please let me know if you have any info. Thanks
