CCCS

Hi,
Does anyone know anything about the CCCS in northern CA? I called their Wastonville office yesterday and made a phone appt. for next week. The woman I spoke to didn't know the answers to some of my questions. I know they won't touch my student loans, and that's fine. What I mainly need help with are medical bills that have been in collections for a while, but the agency, to maximize the impact to my credit divided it into a bunch of small accounts, one even as small as $7.00! I originally spoke with a woman at Superior Debt, who told me she couldn't touch any of those because they were all less than $500. From what I understand, CCCS doesn't have a minimum amount for any debt. Is this true? Will CCCS be able to help me with my medical bills, even though all the accounts are less than $500. They'll all from the same place, just divided into a bunch of different accounts. If you really wanna get screwed, just have a collection agency report your debt like that!!

Won't hurt if you can discuss the matter clearly with CCCS. I su
Won't hurt if you can discuss the matter clearly with CCCS. I suppose they don't have a minimum eligibility to qualify in the program. Collection entries really hurt the credit profile. They can do the worst damage to the credit ratings putting an R9 status. If possible, pay off debts before the accounts reach collections.
