Auto Accident

I'm not sure if this is the right place to go, but I am running out of places to find answers. I was involved in a "minor" car accident 4 months ago. It was the other person's fault. I have been in physical therapy and have racked up numerous bills from various doctors to treat my whiplash injuries. How do I go about paying those bills? My credit is starting to suffer. If I settle with the insurance company, I can't get any more money if I need more treatment. If I don't settle, I am responsible for paying those medical bills, which are already in the thousands of dollars. I have heard that lawyers may help to pay them until you file lawsuit. Is there any truth to this? Anyone know how I can get help?
Thank you!

I think for starters you should register as a member on this site (its free) and then speak to a debt counselor about your financial situation. Don't worry---this is the weekend so don't expect a call today. Good luck.
