My wife has two store front payday loans. And we had to get a new car because the other one broke down. She has Check n Go and a another one that is not a big time and is only one company. The last one is the meanest one.We never had a problem with them, but I have seen them come to peoples work to ask them where is the money. They will not take little monthly payments. The other reason why we need to get out of these loans is because SouthCarolina is thinking about making them illegal. With the new car payment we cannot pay the payloans anymore.

I will be careful with these storefront lenders if you have signed their contract. They might take the matter to the small claims court if you are not doing the payments. This is not to scare you but to advise with some suggestions about the possibilities in the future. Try sending the partial payments to their mailing address. If they cash the check, it means that they have accepted your proposal. If they don't, you will have proof that you tried to pay off the account from your side. Meanwhile, all lenders want to have their money back. They sound tough in the beginning because they want to get the full money in one time. Others will also advise you the same thing if you don't want to put yourself in troubles.
