Did you sign anything when they hired you? If so, I'm afraid you owe the money. Don't ignore the CA, answer the phone and have them provide you with debt validation letter. They should happily provide you with one.
If you didn't sign anything, then you can dispute this with the collection agency and they will send the debt back to the original debtor and you might be able to handle it from there.
Either way, make sure you have something in writing first and foremost.

Right, there has to be some binding contract with the networking company when you undertook the training. If this didn't happen, you are not liable for it unless the company shows you some kind of proof to confirm the debt.
