not sure who I owe

I have three debts in default. One has gone over to 1st Credit Ltd, one was with barclays and says the debt and liabiltiy has been taken over, but to whom it doesn't say. The last is T-mobile which gives no indication to who I owe the money to. I am scared I will now be refused a mortgage, so I need to clear these debts ASAP please help

Hi, welcome to the forums!

It's great to see that you're wanting to fix your credit. One question, have you pulled your credit file recently? I would take a look and see what is listed on your credit report. From there, you can send out a verification of debt letter, and find out the nature of the debt, and see if the SOL has passed.

Also, are you able to pay off these debts, or would be you be wanting to do debt consolidation?

Hi Emilie..

I'm assuming you're in the UK because you mentioned Barclays, which typically doesn't do business in the U.S.?

If you are in the UK, I know that Barclays Bank uses a company called Mercers to handle their debt/collections. As for T-Mobile and 1st Credit Ltd., I don't have any info.
