Does anyone know what the highest amount anyone has consolidated thru a program (and possible payments), like T & C or a similar debt consolidation agency? As some of you may know, we have alot but am still trying to go the consolidation route...have tried contacting T & C but was on hold for over 20 minutes. I originally heard back from Superior Debt, but I don't think they do consolidation, at least from what I have read in these forums.

Thanks.

Most companies do not set any minimum amount to qualify in the program. You can get started with any amount of the debt you have. Ask your consolidation company to figure out the best plan suitable for you. Tell them that you are in interested for a consolidation plan, not a settlement plan. They will think about what they have to offer you. You can also shop for some consolidation companies put in the ranking chart.

I was originally contacted by Superior Debt but had been out of town all last week at a work retreat...so we had be playing "email tag". From what I have seen, it doesn't look like they do debt consolidation, which is what I would like to look into, even though we have a large amount of debt.

I am hoping to pay around $1,000 -$1,100 a month for anywhere from 60-72 months to get this done...but not sure if that is something a consolidation agency will do. An ungodly amount of our cc debt is going towards interest and finance charges, and feel that if the interest can be lowered and finance charges lowered or dropped that this can be done, but remains to be seen. I am committed to doing this, just need to find a good consolidation agency willing to work with me. I tried calling T&C yesterday but was on hold for around 20 minutes and had to get off. Then to top it off, my dad suffered a heart attack yesterday, so have been dealing with that. It looks like he will be ok, but it has been crazy, nevertheless...
