Have you checked the company with your local authorities if there are any major negative feedbacks? They are not registered with the BBB and they have no information about the company's business. However, Rescue Debt has responded to the BBB in a timely manner regarding any issues on consumer complaints.

The company handle both debt consolidation and debt settlement.

Are you signing with them for debt settlement or debt consolidation? Each of these programs has a different approach.

Beware. Rescue Debt was able to get hold of my bank account and charged me altogether $1000...
And I am a senior citizen..

Wow, 'Guest'...that's ALOT of money!! Did you have some kind of 'contract'/agreement with them? Sometime ago, they called my home phone and briefly explained who they were and their "plan to get me out of debt." I've never dealt with them before...just wondering how they got my home phone number. My number is unlisted. It's scary how companies, like them (or ANY company, for that matter..) can get people's information. 'Guest'.....what's the 'update' on your action? Did you talk to the Atty General,etc.?
