Payday lenders

I too am in trouble with these lenders. I called them to stop the debits cause the money wouldn't be there. I got out of the hospital and a couple of weeks later my bank account is 800 overdrawn. Went to my bank, they said they could put my account on a credit only basis but couldn't guarentee that it wouldn't be closed if i didn't get the overdraft covered pretty quick. They said they couldn't reimburse the fees since it wasn't a banking error.
I contacted the deputy administrator of consumer affairs and have sent him the names of the lenders. He is going to see if they are licensed in our state. If they are not, what will happen next?

At present, you should only hope that the company did not have legal presence in your state so that you can file charges against them. If they are licensed, they tried taking out money from your account only because you had a loan with them. It hardly matters to them whether you were able to keep money in your account. You will have to wait for a while.
