collection agency threats

a third party has bought my debt and is threatening lawsuit and is adamant that i call them. my debt solution co. never told me this might happen . what do i do. if i thought i was going to be sued i would have filed for bankruptcy

Isn't your debt solution company sending proposals to your credit company/collection agency? In a consolidation program, your proposals can be sent even if you are current on your bills.
You need to make sure you have an ACCEPTED proposal. A proposal
You need to make sure you have an ACCEPTED proposal. A proposal is nothing unless it is accepted. And a debt solution company usualy won't give you all of that imformation because they want that extra fee that they get for helping you pay your bills.
To buy yourself some time send a debt validation letter while consulting with your debt consolidation company to find out what went wrong. Ask to see a copy of the accepted proposal and get a copy for each account.
