I am so sorry that you're going through such a rough time. I'd be lying if I said I never had thoughts of being worth more to my family dead than alive.
I know your debt seems completely overwhelming and everything must seem hopeless at this point, but it isn't. I felt the same way until I talked to the debt counselor, and things weren't quite as bad as I thought.
The main priority is to pay the mortgage, utilities, car loans, etc. first. You need a roof over your head, working utilities, food and transportation. The credit cards and other debt come second. Send Zwicker a cease & desist letter via certified mail/return receipt requested, and tell them to stop all telephone contact with you and state that all future communications should be sent in writing via USPS mail. This should give you a bit of peace while you try to get something worked out with a debt consolidation/settlement company that can hopefully help you. The debt counselor will discuss your situation and the available options specific to your circumstances.
Please try to hang in there, hopefully you and your husband will be able to relax a bit once you find out what can be done.
Thank you Tiffany, I appreciate the kind thoughts. I will send
Thank you Tiffany, I appreciate the kind thoughts. I will send the letter to Zwicker, how do I find the correct address?
I have received an e-mail from the debt counselor and am putting my information together.
Thank you again.

Welcome to the Community :D Please have a look at this and see if this is what you are looking for at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/about3348-3.html Believe me, I know what stress is! But you are looking at a permanent solution for a temporary problem, there are places you can get free medical help, if you need to talk to someone. Let the counselor see what they can come up with first. You can then look into housing, especially if you have children, you can find agencies that will help. You have to do your basic needs first, the other stuff can come later. Besides consolidation, there is always bankruptcy, and I usually don't advocate that lightly. But there are circumstances where it is the only way. Talk to your counselor and see what they come up with, look at other posts to get some hope, and feel free to ask questions, or just vent if you need to...Karen

Hondored, Welcome to the forums. Bankruptcy may be an option like Bossy said. I do know that when you file it puts you in a stay for a little while and you may be able to save your house this way. If you are not having to pay everything else out. I would talk to an attorney for advice. A lot of the time if you meet income guidelines you can get a legal aide lawyer for less costs. Please take care of yourself. God Bless KYSIDE38

Thank you for your kind messages, all. I hope the counselor can come up with something. I am putting together all the information for them and am sending the letter to Zwicker. I hope everyone has a good weekend and the new week brings all of us some brightness.
Killing yourself is a sin. Why you think you might be worth more
Killing yourself is a sin. Why you think you might be worth more dead than alive you should also consider the emotional cost to your family if you were ever to do such a thing. The monetary value of your life is nothing next to the emotional value your family and loved ones have on you.
Have you considered filing bankrupcy? 60k in debt is a lot and I honestly don't think there is a counseling program out there that is going to help you get this under controll without entering a long long term payment plan that will end up keeping this on your credit report far longer than needed. Of course it might work out but given the desperation and stress you seem to be in it might be to you best intrest to consult an attorney.
