Has anyone had any dealings with these people in the last couple of weeks? I'm trying to keep tabs on them so they don't run to another state AGAIN.

As far I as know they are still on the Indian Reservation in Oklahoma. They think they are safe, but they are not. I have read in prior posts that the OK AG is on their trail along with several other states. They think they are protected, but they forget one simple rule, federal law overrules the Indian law.

I am dealing with ACA Recovery now. PDL's are illegal in my state. I have already paid Rio the amount that I borrowed. ACA Recovery is trying to represent themselves as a law claims to be under the counsel of Norman Kalina. I even got a phone call from them stating they are for the Law office of Norman Kalina. How stupid do they think we are. I just filed a compliant with the AG of my state. I want to see tendollaraday, MTE or Rio Resources (whatever they are calling themselves this week) shut down

bdouble, I had to laugh at that one. Whatever they are calling themselves this week. You hit it right on the money. These people are criminals in my book thats why they run and hide. KYSIDE38 :D

I have just had dealing with these people. All I did was fill out an application, and now my bank account is pretty much being drained. I had no call of confirmation, no email back or anything. I've been able to recover some of my money back, but most definately not all. Anyone know what I can do?

they emailed me this MTE/tendollar payday

Quote:

All debits made from your account were in direct accordance with the terms that you agreed to by signing your loan contract, exactly the same as the first loan that you had with our company and paid off in accordance with the same terms. Your account has been marked "Paid in Full" according to those terms, as you did select to pay your loan off on 12/1/06 and the debit cleared your account.

On the Legal Disclosures page of the website, there is a very important statement that you may have overlooked, so I have copied it below, along with a copy of your signed contract as proof of your agreement to the terms that you are now disputing and proof that you were given every opportuntity to pay your loan off sooner than you did, hence accruing less finance charges than you did. The finance fees that were assessed were based on your own decision not to make the selection to pay your loan off prior to 12/1/06:

Regardless of where you may be viewing or accessing this site, you as the borrower are responsible for complying with any local statutory obligations that may exist in your state or area with respect to this transaction. The Federal laws and laws of the jurisdiction in which the Lender is located governing this consumer loan agreement may differ from the laws of the state where you reside. If you do not want to enter into a consumer loan agreement with us under our terms, then you should apply for a loan at a provider located in the state where you live.

I asked: So what is your address??

she said

In order to provide the correct mailing address, we would first need to know what it is that you will be sending in order to ensure that it is received by the appropriate department

You are welcome! I also want to add that I filed a complaint to the Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit against UCL, which is one of their DBAs and indicated that this company has multiple names. I suggest everyone contact them. You can file a complaint online, which was very easy and they have already responded via email. Here's the link to the complaint form: http://www.okdocc.state.ok.us/complaint.php

They are crooks and they will be shut down if we all get our complaints out there. They took money from my acct. and I shut the acct down so they can't get anymore. There is NO phone number, email address or mailing address on their contract, so how do they think we can contact them. Well...now that my phone has been changed and bank acct. closed, I refuse to pay them a cent more and I don't think you should either.

I recently got this email: Quote:

All Existing Customers

Dear :

The purpose of this email is to inform you that some recent changes have been
made to our ACH processing system which, in turn, has caused the name associated
with our debits to change. All credits and debits from our company will now
appear as "MTE Financial Services."

We constantly strive to provide the best customer service possible, and value
your business! We apologize for any confusion that this may have caused if you
have already noticed a debit being made from "MTE Financial Services", and hope
that this email has answered any questions that you may have had.

Regards,
Customer Service, TenDollarPaydayLoan.com

Well I just got off the phone with Corrine cash transfer center and we are now moving up to level 3 - am I shaking. She refused to take my attorneys name and phone number because I have not filed yet. Now I will call him, as he instructed and give him the info on this bottom feeder. She had th enerve to tell me that it didn't matter if I hired an attorney that they could come after me because I didn't file yet. Maybe so, but when I insisted on a mailing address so that I could mail papers - and copies of the emails that I sent(she claims she did not get them) she put me on hold and then hung up on me. Funny - this babe says to me "you mean you want a street address?" yes. "You mean where we get our mail?" yes. And then dead air.

What ever name that they go by. She also said that they can debit my account anytime and as many time as they want! Then to top it off I get this e-mail from my bank in response to one that I cc'd them regarding nationwide and the fraud charges:
Quote:

Dear xxx,

I am truly sorry to hear of the difficulty you have experienced with this merchant. Unfortunately if an agreement was previously made to them for repayment of funds borrowed it will be extremely difficult to stop the transactions from posting to your account. Please see your legal advisor for further assistance.

Sincerely,

So since I will be getting no help from my bank and I have nothing to loose I had a scathingly brilliant idea - I am going to mail the board of directors all of the e-mail correspondence that I have from my bank, along with the e-mails that I have sent to all of the pdls to cease and desist. I don't know if it will help, but it will make me feel better.

Welcome to the site! MTE Financial is a DBA name ("doing business as" name) for several payday loan companies:
United Cash Loans
Loans til payday
500 Fast Cash
ameriloan
MTE Fiancial
Quickest payday loan
Your approved to 1000
1000 payday cash
Emergency cash loans
payday loans 1000
10 dollar payday loan

They are also known as "Rio Resources".

Do you have any outstanding payday loans? If so, that's probably your answer. I would definitely suggest sitting down and finding out how much your loan was, how much you have paid them, and look up the laws in your state regarding payday loans.

Here's a link to a site that will tell you your state law regarding payday loans:

http://www.paydayloaninfo.org

Click on "state info" on the left side of the page when you get to that site, then click on your state on the map. It will bring up your state's law on PDL's.

Once you have reviewed the law in your state, figure out what you owe on the loan, based on the interest rates shown in your state law. If you have overpaid this company already, you will need to write them a letter asking to be marked "paid in full", and cite your state law, and the fact that you have overpaid. Pollyandsay's blog on this site has a great template letter you can use for this. (Thanks, Polly!)

Before you mail the letter, take a copy of your bank statement with your account numbers blacked out, any correspondence you have had with MTE Financial (e-mails), and a copy of the letter you are sending to MTE Financial, and file a complaint with your state's Attorney General or Department of Finance - whoever regulates payday lenders in your state. (That will be listed in your state's payday law under "where to file a complaint".)

Do you know what company you took a loan out with? We can provide you with some contact info to send your letter to if you know which company you are dealing with.

If you have never taken out a payday loan at all, I would recommend going to your bank manager and advising them of this, and requesting that they reverse the debits because they were unauthorized.

Hope this helps a little. Please post again if we can be of more help.

I have sent the letters and filed complaint with Florida's AG office and I received an email from United Cash Loan telling me "the communication they received was recognize as a form letter (a cut and paste) with misleading and incorrect information being widely circulated via the Internet. The use of this form letter leads to believe that there is not a specific complaint connected with the handling of your account", and that when I signed electronically the document I had 48 hrs to cancelled. I have paid them $535.00 for a $250 pdl. They owe me a refund of $210.00 which I am sure they will not refund. By the same token I just received 2 PAID IN FULL LETTERS. Only 3 more to go. I could not have done it without all you guys. Thanks

I have a loan through MTE Financial as well. I can't really help you as far as where they are located, I have no idea. I just closed my bank account today so they are in for a treat next friday. I'm sure though T&C will get in contact with them right away. There phone number that I have for MTE Financial is 1-866-539-7504. I also got one from someone off this site a few days ago but I have yet to use it, that one is 866-465-5054. Hope that helps!

A lady from Norman G Kalina keeps calling me at work. She says I owe her law office $545.00 on a $250.00 loan I borrowed from 10 dollarpayday. Do I have to pay them the $545.00 or can I nto just send them the $250.00 and be done with it. She talked to my boss and threatened my boss. She told my boss that she was breaking the law by not giving her my personal information. Can they do that?

No Guest, they can not do that. If you tell them that you are not allowed personal calls at work they MUST stop, and that goes for the original creditor as well. But a cease and desist letter won't work on an original creditor. File a complaint with your Attorney General's office and the AG's office in the state they are located.

Thank you Kim 2003,for that numer it was a good workig number,I have a $25 loan, and by the time I pay that back I would have paid them about $900 plus dollars,if you don't pay the loan in a certain time frame, you are bring charged fee's before you start paying off the amount you had,the best thing is to pay the full amount you got from them, because this is a joke and they need to be put out of businees,i have made 4 $90 dollar payments on a 300 payday loan, and they said i was only paying principle on the bill, pay the amount you got from them and lets putthem out of businees because, when I'm done I will have pade $800, $600 which is payment and fee's this is the website they gave me to check your account
quick-cashadvance.com or quickest-cashadvance.com don't know if it's good
