Okay so last I told you guys I was closing my checking account, but then my bank said no because I had pening authorizations that had to fall off first before they could close the account. I was so pissed, so I had to wait for the authorizations to drop. Then as fate would have it my fiance' loses a check book, so then I have to close the account, I had several automatic payments and deposits that I did not want to get unorganized for. Anyway so I call my bank and guess what. They could have just put a block on all debits until I got things straight with the payday loans. The rep I spoke to did not tell me that, she just issued a bunch of stop payments instead of blocks like I had initially asked her to. So now when I call the bank I skip through reps and go right to the supervisors. Oh the straw that broke the camesl back, I used my card at a ATM and the atm failed....but still debited my money. So I had to call my bank and the atm parent bank and my bank said it would rectify itself overnight...and that did not happen, so then everytime I called the bank a rep told me something different so I said screw them and I only deal with acount supervisors from now on-

Anyway back to my issue. I faxed my letters telling the pay day loan companies that I need an alternate means to pay them. A money order or western union- a way that I can track the payment. Th rep from Ten Dollay Pay Loan said I could pay with money gram but told me my payment was $411. I do not agree with this because that is more than $200 more than what the original loan was. And it is not like they debited my account a bunch of times, because they hadn't. Last week was the first payment due date. No way I am paying them $411 bucks when they gave me $200!!! No way I racked up $211 bucks in fees when I am not even a full week late with the payment. So I told the rep I was paying the loan amount and nothing more. Then she starts talking about going to my account again and debiting me the full amount plus charges...I was like I told you that account had to be closed!!! So Debiting it will just get a return anyway. I am waiting to hear back from someone now. I don't appreciate this. I can and will pay the loans back but not any trumped up $200 bonus payments that is more than twice what they gave me!!

I am from Maryland. In fact I have to hurry up and get my statement from my bank, because I paid 2 payments of over $100 bucks to 2 Pdl companies and I have to make sure this company is not one of them. I just tried and can't get the latest statemenent up until the day of closing the account, that has all the information about what payments on the pdl's I made. I know I paid out over $300 bucks.

2 payments to 2 companies of $105
1 payments of $90 and another payment of $80 something. I can't resolve anything until I get the statement and see exactly who has been paid so far and how much they have gotten. I know they want to ask for a bunch of outrageous amounts!

Yes that is exactly what I willdo. Someone was cool enough to post my actual state law about PDL's so I will first get my statement, then re-fax my letters along with a blurb about the laws in my state and make sure to only pay principle balance. This one person is just being so rude, like come ON, I am not ducking you, I always reply and I initiaited the contact when my account was closed! Not like I am trying to skip town, I am just not trying to be taken advantage of!

Thank you, I have a number of financial obligations and expectations that I have had to arrange and redirect since having to close the account. My most recent statement for the closed account is not available (closed account access is unavailable on-line, so I can not see my bank activity for the account after the previous 10/18/06 cycle end date. Has any payment been made to your company to date, or was last week the first scheduled debit? Actually to make things easier, what debit/deposit name does your company work under, I can call my bank and have them look up your business code and tell me the information if you do not have it readily available. I need to know the principle loan amount, your fee/finance schedule and if any payments were posted to date. This info is to ensue everything on my end balances correctly. Thank you very much for your assistance. I can send the money gram as soon as the next business day that I have all pertinent information. Thanks again.

I had a little success with tendollar. What email address did you send your letters to and or communicating with. I received an email from MTE Financial Services, which I can only figure out to be Tendollar. They rec'd my letters and are willing to accept only the principal of 200.00. Not so, I am deducting the fees that they have already taken. Nonetheless, they are not adding any fees.

I am in Maryland too. Fight!
