i owe about 5 or 6 thousand dolars to creditors. I want to negotiate them and pay within 6 months to a year and rebuild my credit. can you help me?

Call the credit companies and let them know that you are interested in paying the debts. They will probably offer you some benefits to make your repayments easier. If you have big chunk and can clear the debt within the shortest timeframe, they might offer lower interest rates also.
