My very first pdl was with QuickPayday, and I think I took out 2 or 3 $500 loans with them before it was over. I see that they are no longer doing loans, but refer you to other lenders, and I've also read about them getting busted.

Question is.....has anyone been successful in getting refunds out of them. They owe me well over $1500 for what I've overpaid in fees.

I had a loan with Quikpayday (I assume that is the same company). I finished paying off my loan and when I wanted to reborrow, they told me that they were no longer taking any loans because they were getting out of the loan business.

They transferred my account to Cash Central and here I am now trying to get out of hell with them.

I don't really have any info about where I took out the loan. The last thing that I need is to file a complaint, and then have to tell them that I never attempted to pay them back. I think that I will just let it go, b/c they don't seem really worried about it or they would be trying to contact me, right?? If I can find their number, I will call just to see if my account has been closed or maybe PIF..:)

quik payday got busted in Colorado and had to pay back about 2 million. Now they have turned around and are suing the state of Kansas. Interesting! Also the state of WV is suing them. Going to be a lot of legal time here folks but I think we will eventually win. KYSIDE38

I have never heard of Quikpayday giving anyone a refund on here. They marked my account paid in full last winter after I went round and round with them for not being licensed in my state. Like you, I too overpaid them by hundreds of dollars. Then they turn around and said I had a second account with them. They don't allow that so I filed my complaints and they have been quiet ever since. I would keep everything documented though.

I also had loans from them. But, I certainly knew what the finance charges where after the first one. I don't think I should be asking them to pay me back. I knew what I was doing and can't play dumb when I knew and did it anyway.

Of course I overpaid them, according to my state laws. I don't know, maybe it is just me, but I don't think I should be acting like I was taken when I knew from the get-go what the interest rates where. Maybe I was a fool with the first one, but I knew after that initial loan that it would be $100, twice a month of interest on a $500 loan. I think, but I am not sure, that I had 3 extentions and then had to pay back the $500 plus interest. Loan sharking at its finest! I don't know why I am not mad at the payday loan companies. I think they made it clear to me what the charges are, but like a lot of people, I did not bother to understand before I signed the electronic signature. In hind sight after reading the contracts, it was very clear to me. I made a mistake and I have paid. I don't think they owe me anything.

I don't blame them at all. Scamming the public has been going for eons. I remember when there were not lemons laws and most odometers at used car lots were tampered with. I admire this group for their activism. For me - it was easier to bite the bullit and get rid of some things in my life I did not need in order to pay off my payday loans. I did not want to close my checking account, get calls at work, or worse yet, subjecting my children to the calls at home, not to mention my friends and family I was foolish to put down as "references." I guess I was chicken.

Yea, I totally understand. I am going through this bunch of crap with CASHTODAY. They are claiming that I owe them $1480 for a $200 loan, keep in mind that PDL are illegal in my state. I was required to pay back only the principal, in which I did. Now they are after my bank account for $1480 more...
