Hello! I want to pay my debts

Honestly i dont know where to begin. Im a very young guy, im only 21. I got in a financial situation like a year and a half ago. When i purchased a vehicle directly from a dealership, where i paid them and not a banking institution. Well it was then when i had to decide what to pay in my bills. I have a loan open thru citi financial where my dad cosign. So that and my car payment mattered the most. Well almost a year and a half later, im still trying to pay this off, but the amount of money has accumulated and i cant afford to pay everything. Credit cards is not a lot of money since i have like 4 or 5 of them. But in my situation i cant manage to pay it. I have a kid on the way and i want to consolidate everything as soon as possible. I want to fix my credit but i dont want to go bankrupt unless i really have to. I just need help please. I dont know what to do anymore. I know once my baby comes i wont be able to pay ANYTHING off. Im scared of that as well. I have no bills no more, i have no way of contacting the credit card companies either. :( :( :(


You came to the right place. Welcome. I have to commend you for taking responsibility at your age, especially for your baby. That's more the exception than the rule. Since you have registered with this site, a debt counselor in your area will be contacting you shortly and will go over what options you have available to you. Hi babe1366 , welcome to the boards. Many will offer you great advice here so keep psoting. First thing you need to do is sell your car and get into a car that either you can pay cahs for or that does not turn your finances upside down.. You obviously are in too much car if you can't afford the payments. Secondly you need to consolidate your credit cards, get one payment and pay that debt off. If you can get a second job to pay this debt off and don't take out anymore unsecured debt. If you have to pay for daily living expenses with credit then you are living beyond your means. You need to get a hold of your finances again because right now they have a hold of you. Congrat on the new baby!
