Hi brighteyes
You should seek some professional help. Consolidate your bills under one payment at lower interest rate. If possible, take a part time job so that you are able to roll your monthly expenses and do the payments. This job is to be used as a temporary fix only until the debts are paid.

Also,
Depending on where you received your medical care, the hospital might have programs that would forgive part of the debt. The hospital chain I work for is non-profit and I know they have programs like this. What you should do is contact the hospital business office at the start of next week and ask. (They are probably closed for the holiday.)
Good luck to you!

Welcome to the Forums :D You have come to the right place! Like kscorwell said, alot of hospitals have different programs, and also write alot of it off. My son was in and out of hospitals all his life, mostly without insurance. We were allowed to make payments, one we did for years, but we got it paid off. My husband works a second job, we cut back on alot of things, and now it is finally looking up. If you have any questions, please ask. Call your hospital and tell them your circumstances, if they see you aren't trying to get out of it, they will work with you alot of times.Good Luck...Karen
