New phone number for Route 66 Legal Dept

They seemed to open this dept and have been calling people that have complained about their loans. They are offering settlements, but want way too much money.
They have no authority to do anything, and talking to these people just takes you in circles.
He actually told me that if I don't pay "I'll find out in the future what will happen" I told him I took that as a threat and he stumbled over his words and said that's not his fault I'm taking it the wrong way.
These people are ridiculous and no one you talk to has any authority to do anything but take your new bank account info!
Has anyone had any success with these people? Is is even worth fighting them, knowing that they can't really do anything but harass me?

Route 66 Funding knows they are in too much focus because of their illegal activities. I don't believe if their settlement offer is real. Think about those who have paid more than the principal and legal fees to this company. They should get the accounts closed in the first place and actually claim for a refund. Not sure but they may be trying a new way to get access to the checking accounts and create new troubles. This doesn't seem to end!

I agree. Their "settlement attempt" was actually more then they quoted me last time! So their offers go up? That's not right.
The legal dept is just more hard to understand, uneducated people that are going by a script. I mean uneducated about the pdl laws and such, not trying to slander route 66 employees. I'd never do that!
