Welcome anita :D Here is a thread you may want to look at on different solutions to debt at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/debt-solution.html On consolidation, you can combine all your unsecured debts into one payment, usually with much lower interest. If you owe the IRS, call them, I have made payments to them several times and they were pretty easy to set up payments with. Good Luck-keep us posted...Karen

Hi anita, welcome to the boards. One point that I have to bring up is that why a new loan that consolidates everything would be great, it is a quick fix to a bigger problem. You have to make sure that if you get a loan like this that you do a financial check up and make sure that you are not living beyond your means. The reason I say this is because say for instance you gte this loan and yes one payment is debited from your account each month BUT you accrue more debt, what are you going to do then, you have depleted your finacial options at that point. I am just saying you need to see if you are living beyond your means. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing
Thanks/more information
Thanks for the replies. My child support is the amount of my mortgage payment, which means that cancels it out. I have a 398 a month car payment and household bills that run about 350 a month. I bring home (after taxes) about 1400 a month. The problem I run into is just plain stupidity. I don't get my child support in one lump payment. I get it divided into weekly checks. I am a horrible money manager, and it always seems to be gone too fast. I get paid every other Thursday. So, what I am looking for is a "money management" kind of plan. If I could have mortgage payments, car payments, household bills taken out of my account on a weekly pro-rated basis, I would actually be able to save some money and pay off all my debt. I don't have the knowledge or willpower to save the money myself. I would prefer to not even see it. I know this sounds like I am a stupid person, but I swear I am not. Growing up very poor, we never had money to manage and were at a time homeless. So now managing money is a foreign concept to me. I know this sounds like a lame excuse, but it is a reality for me. I want to get more discipline to my money management and this seems like a forced course to make me learn.
