Recent Debt

i was unemployed for several months and applied for and got several credit cards. i ran up debts near 10,000 dollars. i do not make much money.
are these debts too recent to be considered in a debt consolodation loan?
I meet with my debt consolodation person next week and i'm afraid she'll say i got the credit under false circumstances (which i did) and that it is bank fraud, not eligible for a debt consolodation loan. does anyone know the answer? please comment as I am nervous.
So you did get the credit cards with the idea of going into cons
So you did get the credit cards with the idea of going into consolidation? How long ago did you get the credit cards?

It basically states you should not get a credit card (or use a credit card) if you know you will not be able to pay it back. You're basically borrowing the money from the lendor when you use the card, and signing the transaction slip states you are aware of the term agreements.

You may want to reevaluate your own credit file. Figure out which ones you really want to be on the program. When you were unemployed, were you doing any type of outside work. Babysitting, truck repair, washing cars, paper delivery, etc?!?! You can use any type of employment, and therefor getting a credit card wouldn't be considered false pretenses.
What debt consolidation company are you dealing with?
