Perhaps, you can call the credit card companies and do the negotiations on your own. Try sending a couple of payments first and then put your payment arrangement. If you can convince them with a specific time period by which the debts will be paid off, they will lower down the interest rates and waive off most fees. In case, this doesn't work, talk to a debt counselor for your options.
