Just so I'm understanding this correctly. You have a new bank account and the PDL debited the new account. If you did not authorize this you need to immdiatly contact your bank and dispute this, defiantly file some fraud charges.

Yes that's correct....I received an email from my correct bank indicating a $525 Western Union Quick Collect charge. I have never done any business with Western Union. I called the bank...they shut down my check card and are issuing me a new one. That transaction is still in pending status and she said that if it posts at all...it'll be done at midnight tonight and that I need to call back tomorrow to issue a formal dispute. Good news is that the money will be back in my account per the investigation on the same day....at least I don't have to wait forever.
Has that ever happened to you or have you ever heard of that happening? What is the outcome usually...

Ok so here's an update...
I spoke with Western Union and they said someone did in fact try to use my information to send money to a company. She was not able to tell me who or where but they were not in CT. She said that I was very lucky because this person was not able to provide all of the correct information so she did not put it through...but most of the time when money is being sent to a company they don't even go through a validation process!!
My card is cancelled with my bank and she put a block on my information on her end as well...because most likely the person will keep trying and trying...

That's really scary! I'm glad your bank was on its toes and notified you right away. I would keep a very close eye on your account for the next couple of weeks.
