Two debts with Allied Interstate

I have 2 debts with them. I know that they cannot call before 8 am, but they call at exactly 8am. Anyway, one of the debts is a checking account the original over drawn amount was $111.00, but with all of their fees it now totals $407. I asked them to forgive some o;f the fees, but they said since I admitted it was my fault they wouldn't. So now AI says they will settle for $325. I personally think that is too much, but I'll have to pay it. The other is $80. I can only pay (comfortably) 10 on the first and 5 on the second.I know that will not make them happy, but should I send it without establishing an agreement?Yes I have recieved a letter about each with seperate account numbers, and different PO boxes.
I would get some type of written agreement. They will accept any
I would get some type of written agreement. They will accept any payment you send them, but it is probably better to come to some type of agreement that is agreeable to both.
Always get something in writing before making a settlement agree
Always get something in writing before making a settlement agreement with a collection agency. They might sell the difference to another agency who will try to collect the outstanding balance. This way you will have proof that both parties agreed to the settlement. There are sample letters in the DIY section of the forum. Welcome :-)
