Cease and desist letter doesn't legally apply on any pdl companies. It is applicable only on collection agencies. If some loan company is following your request to cease and desist communication, I believe it must be for some reasons not specified in the books of law.
Howard, I think Alexandra is referring the the cease and desist
Howard, I think Alexandra is referring the the cease and desist letter issued to Rio Resources from the OK Dept of Consumer Credit and not her own personal cease and desist letter to the company. I have the same question/concern as I have loans with United Cash Loans and 500 Fast Cash, which are also dbas of Rio/MTE.

File a complaint with the Oklahoma Dept Of Consumer Credit against United Cash Loans. This is an affiliate of MTE or Rio Resources. This is one company that I would love see shut down.

This is why I am really pushing OKDOCC to see what is going on b/c I put in a complaint 12/7/06 specificially on United Cash Loans and the person who was assigned my complaint has not responded to the two emails I sent him. I had to email the chief examiner to make him aware of this to see what is going on. I will keep you all posted on what happens.
