I have been with a debt cosolidation co. for about a year now. I pay more now than i did with the credit card co. can i switch debt consolidation co.
and also get back the money they are holding for my last payment

You are able to switch companies, I switched companies once in my consolidation days. You may want to read your papers or contact the company to see about that money they are holding. Since you have registered with this site a counselor will be contacting you to discuss your options.
Some companies you really have to watch and make sure you understand their process and fees. The first company I was with about 5 years ago is being sued because of the crazy fees they were charging, I was with them for 2 years and not one thing got paid off.
