Did they make a call to you? That DOES sound almost like a phony name---kinda like two guys named Russ got together and thought "hey lets call ourselves lawyers!" LOL

I actually called their number to see who they were, since another user had a call from them. I keep calling to get info. but a message says the office is closed.

I called again, this time they said that they are a payday place....they were Russ and Russ yesterday.

They left a voice message today. If I wasnt Melissa please hang up, if I listened then I was Melissa I hung up at that point so I dont know what they wanted.

HMMMM.....I just did a search on Google regarding this 888-636-1014 number. The only site that reflected this number was this one! Are they new? Luckily at work I have caller id and did not answer- does anyone have their address so that I can send a cease and desist letter along with a validation letter for WHATEVER they are calling me about? Thanks!

Any company that can not be located on the net, is most likely a rip off company and are illegal. Don't sweat these guys. If you manage to talk to someone from there, get the mailing address and send a letter of debt validation. That will shut them up. I have sample letters on my site.

It is now a # for Comcast

It's Comcast. They were calling because I hadn't returned my equipment. This is apparently a processing issue on their part because I had actually just started my service with them, which apparently gets messed up every now and then (i.e., something happens in the system such that new customers are contacted by the people in charge of collecting the equipment). I finally answered the phone and explained this to them, and they've made a note and haven't called back since.
