Did you bank close your account due to it being overdrawn? If so, see if you can make payment arrangements on the balance owed to the bank and maybe the account won't be reported to Chexsystems, which can prevent you from opening an account at another bank.

Yes, they closed it due to being overdrawn. I am assuming that everything is paid,because they are sending me a check for 50.00.

If everything is paid, then they probably haven't reported you to Chexsystems and you shouldn't have a problem opening another account elsewhere. Good Luck :)

And even if they did, one of our very resourceful members on this forum has compiled a list of banks by state that don't use Chexsystems. I believe it's posted as a sticky on the site.

You will find the banks that will open accounts even if your account is reported to the chexsystem.

Who are you loans with? Maybe, you should call the companies and work out payment arrangements with them using money order.
