In novenber last year I received a letter from a collection agency with yhe name"allied interstate" try to collect a debt of $ 509.24 from Palisades,who purchased from Verizon California.I send them a letter to verify the debt they keep quiet for a month and they send a letter in that they said will verify the debt and non in feb i received a letter from palisade with a copy from a bill from verizon dated 1/22/04.My question to you is contact verizon and ask if this bill was really generated from them or it's another scam from palisade because i never own money to verizon
You did what you were supposed to do by sending the debt validat
You did what you were supposed to do by sending the debt validation letter to them. However, I would definately contact verizon and let them know about this. They should step up and help you. They are pretty reputable company (at least here in Pa) with lots of competition, so they are not going to tolerate anyone putting a bogus blemish on their name. Goodluck and keep us update.
