Let me first start by saying that Internet Payday Loans or any Instant cash loan is a BAD idea. With that said...

I am currently battling a company called Midland Marketing Group (I believe). When I called them they will not give me any information about their company (i.e. Name, Address, ect.) Also, they will not give me the name of the actual creditor that is assuming I owe them money.

They say that I borrowed $250.00 from their company to be paid back in full plus interest 21 days from the day that it was borrowed (to be taken directly from our checking account). The loan was borrowed in mid-December and they are only just now calling to collect. Also, they have been taking $90-100 out of our checking account every two weeks since the date of the loan. I have put a stop payment on my account, and they are angry.

The company has been calling me and my husband at work and home threatening to file a lawsuit in Florida, threatening to arrest us, and various other cutthroat tactics. They are harrassing to say the least.

We have no idea what we are going to do! We have paid this company almost $600 and according to them we still owe $685 to be considered paid in full. We live in Texas, and have no idea what the laws are in Florida. :!:

Don't let them get to you too bad. We have defaulted on our loan, that is also, according to what our records show, is PIF. We wrote tried to talk to them about our account and told them we had revoked authorization to debit our account, blah, blah, blah and they just said, "Fine, your account is going directly to collections". Here in NC pdls are illegal, so I am not worried too much. Don't let them scare you. As I have suggested to everyone, read everything you can here and arm yourself with knowledge and you will know how to deal with them. Be strong! It will be ok.

Also, don't fall prey to their tactics. I would talk to my supervisor and let them know what is going on (and you would be surprise how many are very understanding) and maybe they can help you put an end to the calls at work. Also talk to your payroll departments. Do not let their threats scare you!

There is no confirmed information about the debt and about the collection agency unless it's put in writing. Midland Marketing is a debt collection company required to follow the FDCPA. Get the debt validated to confirm that they are authorized for collection on your account. They must show the actual standing of the account and your previous payments before you put your proposals.

I took out 3 loans . I was going to a divorce and my husband would not pay me child support. So I needed money to pay my mortgage, food, clothing , doctor bills , car, insurance, etc. I was doing okay in paying the intrest fees and they things got worst and I stop paying them because I couldnt afford to. I had to leave checks filled out to get the loans , so when I didnt have the funds in the account it came back to the loan company. Now they are calling my job and stating the are from a Law office and they are going to have me arrested and they wouldnt give me there information. What do I do ?

I took two payday loans out. One for $300.00 and I paid back by extensions $360.00. The other one was for $600.00. I have had many loans with that company and paid way more in interest than I borrowed. In any event things got tough & I had to close my checking account. I have been threatened with "further action" in which case I think they mean "arrest" me. Is that possible? Both were internet companies. Can they report them to the credit bureau even though they didn't check my credit?
