I am in the process
Date: Thu, 03/22/2007 - 14:46
I am in the process of paying off a bunch of payday loan companies (two down, three to go!) and expect to have that accomplished by May 11.
HOWEVER, one of my "credit card" delinquencies has been turned over to a firm out of Atlanta, Mann Bracken. My debt is something like $14,000, and they are beginning to "turn up the heat," so to speak, on me.
I need to pay off the smaller loans, plus a couple others I have, so I actually HAVE money to address them with.
Ques.: I need advice on what rights I have, if they start threatening legal action, etc. Can they: take me to court; garnish wages; confiscate property; contact me employer, etc.

Well, That firm is pretty heavy handed from what I have read on
Well,
That firm is pretty heavy handed from what I have read on them. If they think they have cause, they file suit.If you lose, they can garnish according to your states laws.
