Write letters to each of the credit reporting agencies disputing the negative marks. If the CRA is unable to verify the information within 30 days, then the entry is supposed to be removed. If the information is verified at a later date, then I believe it can reappear. Familiarize yourself with the FCRA.

I have a few negatives that have had no activity for quite awhile, should I file the disputes on these? What is the possibility that they will remove them? Have you ever had them remove anything?
Fed, When doing a dispute with a Cra,be as specific as possible
Fed,
When doing a dispute with a Cra,be as specific as possible and send your dispute in writing. I have had success with get errors removed, but they were not negative tradelines. Remember under the Fcra, the bureau has obligation to initiate the dispute, but the data furnisher is the one responsible for the accuracy of the data. What I am saying is under Facta, you have the right to dispute directly with a data furnisher and they must investigate and correct report if their information is incorrect.
