I would contact the above number and ask them what you should do....I believe your laws only apply to storefronts and not internet as far as the criminal action against closed accounts...but call and ask them

I think Leah is right . . . I would also think that the laws would only apply to pdl's that are operating legally. If the pdl's aren't licensed, they wouldnt' be able to bring criminal action against you.

Pluse MOST not all but MOST internet PDL's are doing their business illegally in most states so they don't really wnt to try to press charges against you when they arent as legal as they could be either

Right, the illegal pdl's aren't going to want to go through courts unless they have all their ducks in a row, or are just very brazen and stupid.

Most of these places threaten and threaten but can't back them up. If you look back through the threads, you will see a ton of people that were threatened with legal action. Not one has come back and posted that a pdl tried to go through with it.

Unless it's acting within the laws, I would not worry about any sort of legal action being taken against you.
